Meet the Team
Discover who is the driving force behind Ellew Headhunters
Aidan Pearce
So, yes, I am the team, well when I say I am the team, there is much more to it than that, there is the supporting wife, the noisy children, the accountant, the business mentor etc etc. Ultimately however, right now, Ellew Headhunters is me.
I created Ellew Headhunters due to what I felt was a gap in the market of specialist recruiters within the medical imaging field. I have worked within medical imaging for over 20 years and it is such a niche area that to do the job well, you need to have a real understanding of the industry and the different roles within it. It's a very complex field but one that I know well, one that I can add great value to as a recruiter.
Some of my roles within the industry, both within the NHS and private are below.
PACS manager
Imaging Systems manager which included cardiology and echo-physiology amongst others.
IT support for PACS and RIS,
Teleradiology technical support and commercial
I have worked on HL7 and DICOM integrations
I have worked in commercial teams as a bid manager
Project manager
PACS Procurement
It is these roles and my experiences within that job market that makes a step into recruitment feel like a very natural step.
Away from work...
Top of the list is the family, there's my wife Claire and the boys, Ellis and Lewis, Can you work out how I came up with the name 'Ellew'?
One of the reasons I have long wanted to start my own business was to show my children that it can be done, I've always felt, how can I inspire my children that they can do anything they want if I cannot show them it is possible!?
I try and give my children every chance to follow their dreams, as a result, a lot of my time is spent volunteering in grassroots football. In 2023 I helped coach for Christchurch FC U9's and now in 2024 I am part of the team that coach Ringwood Town FC u10's. I also coach the boys at Tennis, now I'm not great at either, but I can coach them at a basic level! Their other love, Karate, is a stretch too far however, apparently a Karate chop is not a real move in the Dojo and nor is a Chinese burn, who knew!
